EMDR supports genuine healing from distressing life experiences, fostering resilience and personal growth within a safe and compassionate environment.

What is EMDR Therapy?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based, structured therapy designed to help people heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR focuses on processing memories and emotions that may be "stuck," contributing to anxiety, stress, or unwanted patterns of behavior.

At the core of EMDR is the brain’s natural ability to heal itself. By activating both sides of the brain - through guided eye movements, rhythmic sounds, or gentle tactile stimulation (like holding tappers) - EMDR helps the brain reprocess stuck memories, reducing their emotional charge and fostering lasting relief.

I utilize an Integrative EMDR approach, incorporating my experience in Sensorimotor, Somatic, Mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapies to support a more comprehensive and holistic healing process.

    • Trauma & Dissociation: Single Events or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) / Complex PTSD (CPTSD)

    • Addictions

    • Anxiety / Panic Disorder / Phobias

    • Chronic Pain

  • EMDR follows eight phases and focuses on three key areas: your past, your present, and your future. However, this doesn’t mean you’ll have exactly eight sessions or that each session will cover just one phase.

As your therapist, I will guide you through the process at a pace that feels right for you. EMDR is flexible and tailored to your unique needs, ensuring that you feel supported and in control every step of the way.

  • EMDR can occur in a typical, 60-minute individual psychotherapy session or an extended session (90 minutes, 120 minutes). EMDR Intensives are also available that may be extended sessions in one day or over several days.

  • Yes! EMDR is just as effective online vs. in-person. I utilize a platform that makes the bi-lateral stimulation (eye movement, tapping, sound) easy to access.

EMDR is a powerful, research-supported therapy that helps the brain and nervous system heal from trauma, anxiety, and overwhelming experiences. It supports integration, emotional regulation, and lasting change - without needing to relive the past in detail.
